According to the public relations office of Chabahar offshore Fisheries Research Center, the head of the center together with the head of the aquaculture department and the department expert (executor of the research project for monitoring Goatr farms) visited the farms of Goatr shrimp breeding site due to the termination of legal storage date announced by the Veterinary Organization and the Fisheries Organization of Iran at that site. Also, during this visit, the condition of the nursery place of Nikoo Parvaresh Sadra Company was reviewed and samplings and inspections were performed in the laboratory of the station. Considering the development of nursery units in the shrimp farming system in the world and the role of this unit in better breeding and health management of farms in recent years, public demand has been formed to set up this unit. It was decided to stablish a pilot unit in the site by Nikoo Parvaresh Sadra Company that will biologically and non-biologically monitored by the center. After holding two specialized meetings in this regard with the cooperation of the Shrimp Research Institute of the country, a research contract was concluded virtually and the first phase of the project with technical advice to the nursery place manager and weekly sampling were successfully done and the larvae were transferred to the feeding pond. Due to the termination of the allowed storage date and the impossibility of entering the post larvae in the complex, the implementation of nursery has started in the second phase of the relevant unit. It is hoped that after 30 days of nursery stage, juveniles will be transferred to the feeding pond for further growth. The technical details of the project and its performance will be presented in the final work report after the approval of the employer.
