According to the public relations office of Offshore Fisheries Research Center- Chabahar, the bio-molecular laboratory of this center was revitalized in the presence of Dr. Mohammad Khalil Pazir, head of the health and disease department of National Shrimp Research Institute on April 10, 2021 and setting up thermocycler, electrophoresis and centrifuge devices, a 3-day PCR workshop was held from 10 to 12 April for the head of the laboratory and some researchers at the center. In this workshop, DNA extraction from lobster consistent with the project approved by the center for demographic study and PCR, using specific species recognition primers and also training to track white spot virus as one of the most common viral diseases in shrimp using the production kit of Shrimp Research Institute and OIE kit (veterinary approved) were done in practice.
