A total of 1510 fertile rainbow trout brood fish with high - health and genetic identity card with the average weight of 172 grams as one of the knowledge based products derived from the implementation of the first phase of the national macro technology project of "The mass production of Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) rainbow trout" and in order to cut dependence on foreign products were transferred after obtaining health approval and shipping health certificate from the Iran Veterinary Organization. The transfer of rainbow trout was carried out on the basis of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute and the Firuzkuh Ghezel Baran Company with the aim of increasing the productivity and sustainable development of the rainbow trout aquaculture industry as well as supporting the domestic knowledge based products. The rainbow trout were transferred from the Coldwater Fishes Research Center of Tonekabon (the place of implementation of the national macro project) to the Firuzkuh Ghezel Baran Company, Tehran Province.
