At the joint meeting with the officials of the Abzian Gostar Holding Company, Dr. Hafezieh, the deputy director for research and technology of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, introduced the research institutes and research centers of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute and presented a report on the research activities of the institute. Mr. Rabi Zadeh provided a brief description of the work of the Abzian Gostar Holding Company and its subsidiary, the result of the economic activities of the Holding Company in the field of aquaculture. Given the need to create jobs and food security, he said that cooperation between the two groups especially in the broodstock development of different species of marine fish is very necessary. Mr. Asghari, the official of the Abzian Gostar Holding Company, mentioned the use of scientific and research experiences in advancing the activities of the company. He added: In the production experience of the company, the technical knowledge of fisheries researchers not only prevented possible damage, but also led to a record - breaking production in similar conditions to shrimp farms in Gomishan. He emphasized: With the help of fisheries researchers in the field of knowledge production and the use of the latest technologies in the world, the production process will be successful. Dr. Shahidian also pointed out the importance of cage fish farming in the waters in the north and south of the country and said: In 2012, various projects in the field of structural calculations for sea cages were defined and finally a template in this regard was designed which will be unveiled soon. According to him, although various activities have been carried out in this field, but it is necessary that these researches be integrated and guided in the right direction. At this stage, the help of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute can be very effective. Dr. Hossein Zadeh, Dr. Sepahdari and Dr. Sharifian expressed their views on various areas of joint cooperation between the two groups. In the end, it was decided that the Abzian Gostar Holding Company should send its research needs in writing to the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute in order to plan joint collaborations according to the available facilities, equipment and scientific capabilities.
