The meeting was held at the office of the general manager of the Khuzestan Department of Fisheries in the presence of the head of the research center, Dr. Hooshmand, the head of the aquaculture department, Mr. Mortazavi Zadeh, and the experts of the aquaculture department, Dr. Younes Zadeh and Dr. Sadr from the South of Iran Aquaculture Research Center, as well as the general manager, the deputy director for aquaculture and the experts the Department of Fisheries of the province in order to review the progress of previous projects and implement the new joint research projects. It is worth mentioning that at this meeting, reports on the physical progress and achievements of the joint feasibility projects for aquaculture in saline water of the Lali region and in unconventional waters that started last year were presented by the head of the research center and project executors. Also, in line with the implementation of the joint project of the live gene bank of Barbus Xanthopterus, the suggestions of the research center related to genetic evaluation and issuance of identity cards to the Barbus Xanthopterus broodstock were expressed. The basic principles of the implementation of the joint project of the live gene bank of Barbus Xanthopterus were accepted by the Khuzestan Department of Fisheries. It was decided to hold a meeting at the site of the Dashte Azadegan native fish breeding center in the presence of the experts from the South of Iran Aquaculture Research Center and the Khuzestan Department of Fisheries to review the requirements of this project in practice.
