In order to implement the production assistants plan which is the second step of the fisheries extension system, Mr. Najaf Abadi, the head of the Bandar Imam Khomeini Marine Fish Research Station, visited the Fadak Aquaculture Fish Farm under the management of Mr. Ansari. The Fadak Aquaculture Fish Farm is located on the Abadan - Khorramshahr route. It is worth mentioning that the farmed sobaity juveniles of this farm are the result of the reproduction of the broodfish at the Bandar Imam Khomeini Marine Fish Research Station in the winter of last year. In this field visit, after observing the approximate growth rate of sobaity juveniles, practical suggestions were offered by him in order to improve their growth and survival through the management of farming, feeding and the type of feed used. It is worth mentioning that for the first time, the breeding and rearing of marine fish, especially sobaity as a valuable native species in Iran, has been carried out at the Bandar Imam Khomeini Marine Fish Research Station. So far, the Etihad Abadan Farm in Chavibdeh city - Abadan County during the past years and the Fadak Aquaculture Fish Farm this year have benefited from scientific and extension support and expert advice of this station. It should be noted that in order to solve the problems facing the aquaculture practitioners and to increase the jump in production, cooperation and providing services and scientific support have always been considered by the South of Iran Aquaculture Research Center and the Bandar Imam Khomeini Marine Fish Research Station.
