Today, the media has become a part of people's lives and in a way guides their thoughts and worldview. But in the meantime, the gems that value the media and make its brand shine in the minds of the audience are none other than the journalists. Journalists can be considered as researchers in the field of information dissemination. To understand an issue, they conduct interviews with a variety of people, from experts to senior officials of an organization or a ministry, and keep people informed and work to enlighten public opinion. Their theoretical sensitivity to various issues is the basis for transparency and awareness of individuals. A professional and ethical journalist, like a researcher, seeks to discover the facts and presents his / her discoveries to the audience through the media without change and with the least direction. In this regard, the Fisheries Science Research Institute of the country also recognizes journalists as researchers who can inform the audience about the events in the field of fisheries and aquatic research. Maintaining extensive and sincere interaction with journalists is the basis of the activities of the officials of this institute, especially its public relations department. Undoubtedly, in the field of disseminating information and raising awareness, the cooperation of journalists with public and private institutions and organizations is essential. Since the dissemination of correct information without any fallacies will make the people's judgments in accordance with what really exists, and this is the result of transparency and cooperation with journalists. Journalists can change the image of agriculture in the public mind, from an illiterate old man to a literate young man aware of the latest related sciences. When the public is aware of the present truth about agriculture in the country, it respects the real position of the exploiters and opposes the destruction of natural resources. This issue is doubly important, especially in relation to the fisheries and aquaculture sector, because the introduction of the benefits of consuming aquatic products and its role in people's health will be best carried out through the media. As a result, a society that is aware of this role will try to improve its nutritional pattern, and we will eventually have a healthier society from one generation to the next. On the one hand, this event is an investment in promoting community health and reducing medical costs in the future, and on the other hand, it will lead to a boom in production in aquaculture units and improve the livelihood of fishermen. This cycle will remain incomplete without the strong presence of journalists and their research in the field of information. Therefore, the influence of news researchers cannot be ignored in any way. On this occasion, the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute congratulates the Journalist Day to those who have taken up the pen to inform the people of the society about the real news and events through research, and they want to work for the development of their country in this way, and the institute wishes them increasing success from God Almighty.
