The ceremony was held to release the juvenile Caspian white fish into the Anzali Wetland. At this ceremony, which was held in the presence of the Imam of Congregational Prayer in the Anzali County, the governor of the Anzali County, the representative of the Anzali County in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the general manager of the Anzali Department of Fisheries and a group of experts and officials, thousands of juvenile Caspian white fish weighing one gram were caught from the pond in Ghalam Godeh, Anzali County, and they were released into the Anzali Wetland. This process was carried out with the efforts of the Gilan Department of Fisheries and especially the Shahid Ansari Center for Rebuilding Resources and Conservation of Genetic Resources of Warmwater Fish in Rasht. After stocking the Caspian white fish larvae in the ponds in Ghalam Godeh in early spring of this year, they were caught with an average weight of one gram and released into the Anzali Wetland. Estimates indicated that there are three million fish in the ponds in Ghalam Godeh, Anzali County. It should be mentioned that millions of juvenile fish belonging to commercially valuable species of the Caspian Sea such as the Caspian white fish, zander, common bream, carp, etc. are released annually into the rivers leading to the sea and the Anzali Wetland in order to conserve and rebuild fish stocks by the Gilan Department of Fisheries.
