The meeting was attended by the director of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, relevant deputies and specialists as well as the deputy director for aquaculture development of the Iran Fisheries Organization and related general managers. At the specialized meeting, the description of the tasks and actions performed and the requirements required in this regard were reviewed and the proposed operational solutions were discussed by the participants. Paying attention to how to achieve an economic model for the production of eyed rainbow trout eggs in order to meet part of the domestic demand for eyed rainbow trout eggs was one of the most important issues raised at the meeting. Dr. Bahmani, the director of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, pointed out that the necessary support should be provided to the private sector to enter the production of eyed rainbow trout eggs. He stated: The design of the economic model for this input should be adjusted with the participation of the private sector and the executive sector in such a way that it can be performed by the producers and all social and economic criteria should be taken into account. For this reason, the cooperation and coordination of related sectors, including the executive, private and research sectors is essential for the development of this program. Dr. Abdolhai, the deputy director for aquaculture development of the Iran Fisheries Organization, while emphasizing the presence of the private sector in the development of this program, said: Unfortunately, so far the representatives of the private sector have not presented any model or program for the production of eyed rainbow trout eggs. We can encourage them in this direction by offering low - interest facilities. It is necessary for the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad to issue executive orders regarding these facilities to the operating banks or available financial funds. In conclusion, it was decided that the Iran Fisheries Organization should determine the production capacity of eyed rainbow trout eggs this year and in the coming years during a meeting with the presence of the associations of cold water fish producers and the private sector activists. The Iran Fisheries Organization should also request the business plan of a breeding center for the participation of the government and the private sector from the associations. It was also decided to develop and present a research and executive program to support the production of eyed rainbow trout eggs in the country with the aim of government centers in Kelardasht, Tonekabon and Yasuj.
