The consultation meeting of the Mazandaran Department of Fisheries, the Caspian Sea Ecology Research Center and the heads of the Department of Fisheries of the cities was held in the meeting hall of the Mazandaran Department of Fisheries. The topic of the meeting was the do's and don'ts of the Caspian white fish breeding in coastal ponds. Dr. Ishaghi, the general manager of the Mazandaran Department of Fisheries, considered the effort to conserve the aquatic resources of the Caspian Sea as one of the main missions of the Department of Fisheries. He said: Adopting appropriate methods in cooperation with the Caspian Sea Ecology Research Center, unions and fisheries organizations to help natural reproduction is one of the ways to achieve this goal. Dr. Safari, the deputy director for research and technology of the Caspian Sea Ecology Research Center, mentioned the need to implement the Caspian white fish breeding pilot program in coastal ponds. He considered it very important to study the strengths and weaknesses of this program by considering various farming parameters and related issues. He stated: Before implementing the plan and constructing 51 coastal ponds in different cities of the province, the pilot program had to be carried out. At the end of the meeting, it was decided that in 2020 - 2021, three pilot programs for the East, West and Central regions should be selected and quantitative and qualitative monitoring of the juvenile Caspian white fish in coastal ponds should be carried out by the Caspian Sea Ecology Research Center with the funding of the Department of Fisheries.
