The production assistants plan with the title of "Monitoring, supervision and presentation of management solutions to improve the quality and quantity of shrimp production" is being implemented in 5 farms and 76 shrimp ponds in the northern and southern Tiab region. This project has been started since the beginning of this year with the aim of identifying the problems of shrimp farmers and providing management solutions. In order to comprehensively review the current situation and the factors affecting the quality and quantity of shrimp production, the experts of the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea Ecological Research Institute with their weekly presence, evaluate the existing problems of farming sites in the following areas and after analyzing the results of objective and laboratory observations, management solutions to solve problems are provided by researchers in the form of customized forms to users that the steps of the action include the following topics:
- Supervision of pond preparation operations
- Evaluation of environmental parameters including oxygen, salinity, pH, temperature, transparency, ammonia and nitrite
- Identification and determination of phytoplankton density
- Identification and determination of bacterial fauna
- Analyze the feed used and determine the biochemical composition and nutritional value
- Performing tests to determine the health status of shrimp juveniles
