A meeting with the aim of joint cooperation in the field of aquaculture was held at the office of the head of the Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Training Center of Golestan Province in the presence of the head of the Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Training Center, the deputy director of planning and the legal officer of the training center, the head of the division for rebuilding aquatic resource, the head of the department of planning and the aquaculture experts. Dr. Faraji, the head of the Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Training Center, spoke about the commonalities between the two groups and the potential for bilateral cooperation. He said that cooperation between the two centers could lead to important achievements in the field of production and research, the effects of which will be seen in the province. Then, Dr. Aghaei Moghaddam, the head of the Inland Waters Aquatic Stocks Research Center - Gorgan, presented the potentials and full readiness of the research center to participate in production and research activities. Legal issues were raised regarding land ownership in Qarah Su and the Olang Freshwater Research Station. It was decided that in a memorandum of understanding, the legal cases and areas of exploitation should be specified. Also, issues related to the implementation of joint research projects at the Olang Research Station including farming carp juveniles in order to meet the needs of the exploiters were raised. It was decided that the parties would take the necessary action to determine its executive mechanism. At the end, Dr. Faraji stated that in order to exploit the 40 - hectare constructed wetland of the Olang Center, they need the technical cooperation of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute. It was decided that the details of its implementation will be determined in future meetings.
