The training workshop with the title of "Management of health requirements and biosecurity in shrimp farming" was held by Dr. Aghil Dashtian Nasab, the head of the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran (Bushehr) and in compliance with all health protocols via video conferencing. The head and experts of the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran, the owners and experts of farms at the Gomishan shrimp farming site, the experts of the Department of Fisheries as well as the person in charge of aquatic animal health and diseases and the person in charge of fisheries extension in the Veterinary Directorate General of the province participated in this workshop. Dr. Aghaei Moghadam, the head of the Inland Waters Aquatic Stocks Research Center - Gorgan, welcomed the audience and guests. He spoke about the comprehensive cooperation to improve shrimp farming in the presence of the white spot disease. Then, Dr. Dashtian Nasab spoke about the causes of the spread of the white spot disease in a shrimp farming site, health and biosecurity requirements for shrimp farms before stocking and during the farming period. Finally, experts and farm owners asked questions about how to do this and the health requirements during the farming period for better production, which was answered by the workshop instructor.
