At the meeting, Dr. Bahmani stated that the issue of cage fish farming is one of the priority issues of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad. He said: Since the institute has experience, technical knowledge and specialized personnel, it can take effective steps at the national level with the cooperation of the private sector in order to develop the cage fish farming industry. According to him, both fisheries researchers and the Nixa Cage Fish Farming Company are trying to meet some of the most important needs of the mariculture industry especially cage fish farming and this has paved the way for cooperation between the parties. Mr. Yousefi, the CEO of the Nixa Cage Fish Farming Company, said: The Company is fully prepared to cooperate with the fisheries researchers and will provide its facilities to researchers until practical results are obtained. He emphasized: The Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute can help the private sector in four main and important issues, and ultimately, help the jump in production in the cage fish farming industry. Among the most important topics are monitoring the placement of cages on the water - body floor, fouling, aquaculture of Sobaity seabream and production of live feeds. Dr. Bahmani emphasized the need for bilateral cooperation between the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute and the private sector. He noted that research, educational and extension cooperation, providing study opportunities and counseling are among the most effective activities of the researchers in the field of fisheries sciences. Creating a live gene bank from marine fish with the ability to farm fish in cages and develop brood fish, using the facilities of the institute to conduct research, identifying fouling, carrying out management projects, ecological monitoring to manage the cages, promoting research findings on the farm and holding the required training courses are among the most important topics for the institute to cooperate with the Nixa Cage Fish Farming Company.
