Following the announcement of the minister of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad regarding the production assistants plan and the jump in production, the research team from the department of technology and processing of the Iranian Artemia Research Center along with Dr. Abbas Pour, Dr. Khezri, and Dr. Rezaei, the representative of the head of the Department of Fisheries of West Azerbaijan Province, visited the processing and packaging center under construction and operation of the Ghezel Mahi Company located in the Mahal Targavar, 40 km from the Urmia city, on July 4, 2020. Mr. Vahabeli, the CEO of the company, outlined the goals of setting up a processing line alongside the fish farm. He pointed out to the existing problems and obstacles including the lengthy process of obtaining the necessary licenses and the lack of necessary coordination between the relevant departments and organizations, the steps of obtaining a specific brand, product price fluctuations and product supply method due to the prevalence of the disease COVID - 19. The dispatched experts noted the basic points and hygiene issues at the beginning of the construction and operation of the fish processing and packaging center and announced the readiness of the center to solve the problems by reflecting the problems ahead to the superior authorities to make effective decisions.
