In order to implement the production assistants plan in the Gwadar shrimp farms, two certain researchers of the Chabahar Offshore Fisheries Research Center along with a research expert from the aquaculture department visited active farms. They spoke with the farm experts and learned about the problems of shrimp farming and made the necessary recommendations to improve shrimp farming conditions. They also provided the posters published by the directorate of fisheries extension of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute to the farmers. During the visit to the shrimp farms, complementary species, the flathead grey mullet were recommended. This fish is suitable for aquaculture and can refine the shrimp farming environment. At the end of the shrimp farming period, the flathead grey mullet can be marketed and sold as a by - product.
