The Kowsar Economic Organization operates in various fields such as light and heavy weight livestock, poultry and aquaculture. The organization also has 3 large aquaculture farms in the country and 2 cage culture units in the lakes behind the dams. In addition, the Kowsar Economic Organization has included the farming of coldwater and warm - water fish, shrimp and salmonids in its program of activities. One of the important factors in the coldwater fish farming industry is the supply of eyed eggs which unfortunately due to the low quality of domestic products, the import of this input has been welcomed; while it causes the outflow of currency from the country, it can cause all kinds of diseases to enter the country. Therefore, the production of eyed eggs has been one of the industry's priorities and fisheries researchers have also acquired the technical knowledge. Necessary infrastructure must be provided to cut the country's dependence and research has shown that the selective breeding of rainbow trout is one of the most important infrastructures in the industry. For this purpose, the Coldwater Fishes Research Center of Tonekabon has been targeted as the center for selective breeding of coldwater fish and has some necessary infrastructure. The cooperation of the Kowsar Economic Organization in completing and equipping this research center and producing the selectively bred baseline population in the form of research with the instructions of the fisheries research experts was one of the issues discussed during the meeting. Dr. Bahmani, the director of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, noted that there are favorable conditions for cooperation and said: The institute seeks to synergize and solve the problems caused by sanctions in the field of fisheries and aquaculture and its main task is to produce technical knowledge and transfer this knowledge to the private sector. According to him, one way to make a jump in production is to work together to improve the quality of domestic products and reduce dependence on imports. Therefore, we must reach a conclusion in the shortest possible time by drafting a memorandum of understanding in this direction. At the end, it was decided that the two groups would form a committee consisting of the plenipotentiary representatives from both parties (Dr. Salehi from the Kowsar Agricultural Group and Dr. Hafezieh from the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute) to introduce favorable areas and suggest issues related to projects that lead to synergy.
