It can be said that their implementation is the most reliable way to save the economy from dependency.In general, the resistance economy policies that were announced to all the executive bodies in 2013 consist of 24 main clauses, the majority of which can be implemented through research.Research can broaden the realm of knowledge and applied sciences, thereby provide a context in which results in improved production management and productivity in different areas of fisheries.In other words, with the economic boom of small - scale aquaculture units and the optimization of fishing methods, the income level of these businesses will be improved and the factory production wheels will run smoother than before.This approach encourages business owners to expand their business and also increases the incentive to attract new investors into various
areas of fisheries from breeding to processing.Overall, these factors will lead to a decrease in the unemployment rate in the country and it can be claimed that economic growth has occurred in all aspects.Therefore, implementing the resistance economy is rooted in research.One of the main and effective activities of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute is to enter the educational and extension fields which are carried out under the pretext of transferring the latest scientific findings to the beneficiaries and improving their management level to increase the final production.Productivity will undoubtedly increase if the conditions are provided for aquaculture and
management practices follow scientific principles especially in terms of disease control and nutrition.Within the framework of the extension activities of the institute, the local community participation in river protection has become essential. Residents of different regions are preventing the disruption of adjacent ecosystems by collaborating with research experts.In this regard, the first paragraph of the general policies of the resistance economy emphasizes that "providing the conditions and activation of all the resources including financial resources, human resources and scientific resources of the country in order to promote entrepreneurship and maximize the participation of the community in economic activities by facilitating and encouraging cooperationand emphasizing the promotion of low and middle income and role" that the activities of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute is a clear example of this paragraph.Also, "advancing the knowledge - based economy and increasing the share of production, focusing on
productivity in the economy by strengthening the factors of production, empowering the workforce and strengthening the jihadist culture in creating added value" in the various sections of these policies are all in line with the activities that the fisheries scientists of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute are pursuing to grow this industry.Managing fish farming in cages and locating cages for fish farming in the southern and northern waters are among the priorities of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute. This demonstrates the importance of productivity and reliance on domestic production that preserves domestic capital and resources, including freshwater resources.In addition, the researchers intend to introduce indigenous fish such as cobia, sobaity seabream and zander to the country's aquaculture industry to highlight the use of the country's opportunities and capabilities more than ever before.Two examples of effective research by the institute to cut foreign dependency and increase domestic production by fisheries researchers were the production of specific pathogen free shrimp and rainbow trout as well as the production of shrimp probiotics and transfer of their knowledge to the private sector.The paragraph 6 of the general policies of the resistance economy emphasizes "increasing domestic production of inputs and essential
commodities with the aim of reducing dependence on specific countries and a limited number of countries ", whereas the paragraph 11 of these policies is to "expand the scope of the Free and Special Economic Zones of the country in order to transfer advanced technologies and to expand and facilitate the production and export of goods and services as well as to supply essential needs and funding from abroad".The Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute in partnership with one of its affiliated research centers in Chabahar County has made valuable achievements in this regard and donated them to the fisheries community.Fisheries researches in the Makran area and the pursuit of farming and exploitation of various species such as lobster, sea cucumber and algae as well as the identification of new economically valuable aquatic resources have been among the measures pursued by fisheries researchers for many years.Many of these species play an influential role in the production of cosmetics, hygiene and pharmaceuticals. The added value they generate is very significant and can help raise the income level of local communities.Establishment
of aquatic live gene bank, production of aquatic live feed, processing of aquatic products research, biotechnology research and ecology of water resources as well as standardization and technical supervision of laboratories are measures outlined in the paragraph 7 of the general policies of the resistance economy on "providing food security and treatment and creating strategic reserves with emphasis on quantitative and qualitative increases in production ".Overall, the researchers provide new and less costly paths for the production sector to ultimately increase the efficiency of farms and improve the income level of farmers.This is in line with the paragraph 16 of the general policies of the resistance economy which say "save the public expenditure of the country by emphasizing fundamental changes in structures". In general, the activities of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute are an example of an organization active in implementing resistance economy policies whose ultimate fruit is to increase productivity and aquaculture production as
well as consumer health.Monitoring aquatic resources and reporting the results of investigations to the executive division for capture fisheries management, selective breeding of fish, significant reduction of redhead disease in farmed shrimp with emphasize on aquaculture extension and training the beneficiaries, controlling diseases and producing vaccines and diagnostic kits as well as conducting workshops and scientific conferences are other activities of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute that for each of them you can find examples in resistance economy policies.
