The most recent global report on the impacts of climate change on human health in 2019 was co - authored by Dr. Fereydoun Aoufi and Dr. Mahnaz Rabbaniha, the academic members of the headquarters of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, in the latest issue of The Lancet with the impact factor of 59.1, which is ranked third among the world's top international journals.The latest international report on the impacts of climate change on human health in November 2019 was co - authored by the academic members of the headquarters of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute as well as 60 biologists, medical scientists and humanities researchers from 33 research institutes and academic centers in twenty countries around the world in the latest issue of The Lancet with the impact factor of 59.1, which is ranked third among the world's top international journal. On this occasion and during the specialized meeting (Lunch Event) organized by the LANCET Commission with other countries including Iran, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Brazil, the United States, China, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, South Africa, Peru, Spain and Sweden, it was unveiled. This great scientific event in Iran was held at the Preventive Medicine and Public Health Research Center of the Iran University of Medical Sciences with the presence of the Iranian members of the International Commission on Climate Change and Health and a large number of officials, the academic members and researchers inside and outside Iran (via video conferencing) as well as media and journalist staff.This report is an annual comprehensive analysis examining changes in 40 indicators related to the impacts of climate change on human health and outlines what needs to be done to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement (2015) and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The report emphasized that "The countdown to the impacts of climate change on human health is taking place and will have many undesirable effects on people's health. Failure to provide executive and management solutions will lead to catastrophic changes in the lifespan and quality of life of children born today". Dr. Fereydoun Aoufi and Dr. Mahnaz Rabbaniha, the academic members of the headquarters of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, along with Dr. Meysam Tabatabaei (Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran (ABRII)) and Dr. Mazyar Moradi (University of Medical Sciences) as the Iranian members of the International Commission on Climate Change and Health presented marine indicators for the first time worldwide in 2017 in order to conduct studies and monitoring the impacts of climate change in food security and community health programs. This valuable achievement and the new insights by the Iranian researchers on the food security index with the title of "Marine Primary Production" was approved as a new indicator and introduced internationally, which is planned by 2030.
