Dr. Bahmani, the director of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, along with Dr. Khon Mirzaei, the deputy minister of Agriculture Jihad and the head of the Iran Fisheries Organization, Mr. Biranvand, the governor of Mahshahr County, as well as Dr. Hafezieh, the deputy director of research and technology the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute,and the accompanying delegation were introduced to research and practical activities in the field of marine fish during the visit to the Bandar Imam Khomeini Research Station, dated 9 February 2020.Various parts of the research station including the breeding hall, the larval rearing hall, the live feed laboratory, the rotifer production section and other places were visited. After the visit to the Bandar Imam Khomeini Research Station, the strategies for joint collaboration between the research and the implementation departments were explored at a meeting. Moreover, the topics of proposed employment - based projects in the field of fisheries and aquaculture (in the field of microalgae, indigenous marine fish breeding and farming, establishing aquaculture farms on the coast, marine cage culture and training skilled workers in marine aquaculture) were reviewed in the presence of the governor and then the titles were approved by the executives present at the meeting. It was decided that these issues should be handled using the credits of Mahshahr County.At the end, Dr. Bahmani and Dr. Hafezieh welcomed the comments and opinions of the staff of the research station in an intimate meeting.The performance schedule for Sunday, February 9, 2020, is as follows: Visit to the Azadegan warmwater fish farming complex and the research ponds of the South of Iran Aquaculture Research Center Purpose: To create a model fish farming site to transfer the new knowledge of warmwater fish farming At present, the site of the research institute has been prepared with the transfer of 53,000 cubic meters of soil and with the construction of 9 ponds (6,000 m2) If financed, 6 more ponds will be prepared with the transfer of 36,000 cubic meters of soil The first phase of the Azadegan Complex is approximately 1,100 hectares. The research ponds of the research institute, as a key unit in research and development, can play an important role in increasing production efficiency.
