The specialized meeting of the department of biology and aquatic
resource assessment was held with the participation of the Department
of Fisheries of the province. The meeting was
held at the session hall of the Inland Waters Aquatic Stocks Research Center - Gorgan with the presence of the head of the Inland Waters Aquatic Stocks Research Center, the deputy director of capture fisheries of the Department of Fisheries of the province, the deputy director of research, the representative of the department of aquatic resource assessment of the Caspian Sea Ecology Research Center, a group of fishermen and observers of Parreh fishing as well as the experts from the deputy of capture fisheries. Participation of the community of exploiters plays an important role in the sustainable management of resources.When this collaboration is accompanied by information exchange and awareness, it will have a purpose.The specialized meetings are the best opportunity for this exchange of information and transfer of extension findings. This meeting was held to share the annual findings of the department of biology and aquatic resource assessment regarding the bony fish resources. At the meeting, the main indicators of exploitation of stocks with emphasis on the carp and Caspian roach stocks and the process of sexual maturation changes of mullet and Caspian white fish were discussed. Financial and biological losses from non - standard fishery using the Parreh fishing method were also analyzed.
