The aquatics industrial cluster in collaboration with the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran and with the support of the Industrial Estates of Bushehr Province co. held a training course on the principles of biosafety at shrimp breeding centers. The training course was organized by Dr. Dashtyan Nasab, the head of the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran, and with attendees from the Persian Gulf University, the Veterinary Directorate General of the province and shrimp breeding and farming centers in the Bushehr Province. Training course on the principles of biosafety at shrimp breeding centers was held at the session hall of the institute. Concepts related to biosafety, the benefits of implementing them at small and large centers, the economic value and cost associated with fully implementing biosafety guidelines at breeding centers and at various stages of larval rearing were key parts of the training workshop. Potential problems, the necessities of implementation at different stages of reproduction, the importance of comprehensive compliance with all stages of shrimp production, the challenges ahead and the answers to the questions posed were other areas of this presentation.
