The department of health, rescue and treatment - Deputy of Strategic Naval Force Health of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy has determined that with the approach of consequences and effects of the marine environment on
local human communities, the 1st National Conference on Marine Environment should be held in Noshahr Seaport from June 22 to June 24, 2020, hosted by the Imam Khomeini Naval University of Noshahr.In this regard, given the joint meeting of the Scientific and Executive Committees of the Conferenceand the presence of the representatives from more than 25 government agencies and military institutions, research and education centers as well as universities across the country, Dr. Fereydoun Aoufi, the academic member of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute headquarters and the department of ecology of water resources, was elected as the scientific secretary of the conference. It has also been approved that 20 strategic and managerial lectures will be provided in the framework of five specialized sessions focusing on: Threats and Risks - Passive Defense, Health and Safety - Education and Culture Promotion - New Technologies and Applied Sciences - Economics and Sea - based Sustainable Development. Moreover, four educational - skills workshops will be held with the participation of organizations, research institutes and academic centers on life cycle assessment of plastic waste recycling process, climate change indicators, pollution monitoring and evaluation, and marine sampling equipment as well as maritime database.
