Second meeting of the coldwater fish working group on the topic of selective breeding of rainbow trout was held at the session hall of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute with the presence of the members of working group from the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, the Iran Fisheries Organization and the Iran Veterinary Organization as well as representatives of the National Union for Coldwater Fish Aquaculture Cooperatives and the Central Union of Agricultural Cooperatives for Coldwater Fish, dated 13 January 2020. At the meeting, the issues raised in the previous working group meeting were discussed and the issues related to the concept of implementation of selective breeding, the requirements and facilities available in the country and the actions taken so far based on the program developed by Regarding the concepts of eugenics implementation, the requirements and facilities available in the country and the actions taken so far based on the program developed by the Norwegian consultants for this project as well as the implementation framework of the selective breeding program in relation to coldwater species in Norway. The participants' views were presented and private sector partnerships and expectations and the overall framework for public - private partnerships were discussed.It was agreed that the next meeting of the coldwater fish working group would present a model of partnership with the private sector and take action on how to implement the decisions of the coldwater fish working group and how to implement the manual of style of the coldwater fish working group with the private sector in consultation with the planning office of the Ministry of Agriculture.
