The main activity of this station is edible oyster farming and reproduction and production of sea cucumber. The station is also collaborating with the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea Ecological Research Institute for the cobia reproduction and production project in order to farm cobia in marine cages. In this regard, a number of cobia brood fish were caught from the port of Bustaneh and the Bandar e Hasineh. The fish were quarantined and then, they were transferred to round concrete ponds for storage. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Zare, the deputy of the Agricultural Research Education and Extension Organization, Dr. Bazargan, the deputy director of research of the Agricultural Research Education and Extension Organization, and the deputies and managers of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute were on this visit. They discussed issues related to the research station.
