Holding a program for the Farm Day

On the thirtieth anniversary of shrimp farming in Hormozgan province, a program with the title of "Sustainable Production Management of Shrimp in Hormozgan Province" was held for the Farm Day with the active and prominent presence of the managers and officials of the Hormozgan Province, experts of the relevant executive organizations, exploiters and shrimp farmers in the Hormozgan province. The program was held at the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea Ecological Research Institute. The program was aimed at transferring and promoting scientific findings and achievements with emphasis on:
-Management status of shrimp farms in the Hormozgan Province (Lecturer: Dr. Kiomars Rouhani Ghadi Kalaie)
-Effects of wastewater from shrimp farms on sustainable production (Lecturer: Dr. Mohammad Sedigh Mortazavi)
-Management of shrimp farms wastewater and solutions for water quality improvement in water outlet of shrimp farms (Lecturer: Dr. Hojjatollah Foroughi Fard)
-Disease management strategies in shrimp farms (Lecturer: Dr. Saeed Tamadoni Jahromi)
-Challenges facing shrimp farming in the next year (Lecturer: Dr. Mohammad Reza Zahedi)
The topics highlighted in the Farm Day program "Sustainable Production Management of Shrimp Farming in Hormozgan Province" were selected based on the existing management requirements and challenges of shrimp farming sites as well as the shrimp farms being set up in the province. The program attracted a large number of participants (more than 100 people). More than 70 participants were from the exploiters and shrimp farmer communities in the Hormozgan province. After the lectures were delivered by the speakers, a roundtable was organized with the participation of representatives of the executive organizations and exploiters in order to receive feedback and experience from the shrimp farmer communities in the Hormozgan province and required answers were provided to the questions. In the final summary of the Farm Day program, the most important proposals for the provincial executive and research organizations were drafted. Moreover, selected farmers were awarded certificates of appreciation by the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea Ecological Research Institute.
