Following the intense bloom of water hyacinth in the Anzali Wetland and its adjacent areas, a workshop on ways to deal with water hyacinth was held with the efforts of the Department of Environment of Bandar Anzali. Some of the relevant experts attended the workshop. The training workshop was organized to inform the people of Abkenar village. In this workshop, Dr. Mirza Jani, the academic member of the National Inland Water Aquaculture Institute and the executor of the project to deal with water hyacinth, spoke about the effects of this highly dangerous plant and the ways to control and collect it with available facilities and with the help of the public. It is worth noting that in the past week, he has also provided awareness to the local people in the Sangachin area in the form of a training workshop. The water hyacinth is one of the 10 most dangerous invasive species in the world that has unfortunately entered the country over the past few years and the need to combat it is of paramount importance and all relevant organizations must work together in this regard.
