Dr. Bahmani, the director of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, along with Dr. Moradi, the deputy director of planning and support, Dr. Hossein Zadeh, the deputy director of fisheries and aquaculture extension and transfer of research findings, Dr. Iranpour, the head of technical and engineering department, and Mr. Vahedi, the legal consultant of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, visited the NationalResearch Centre of Saline-waterAquatics Bafgh- Yazd on Tuesday, dated 3 September 2019. During the visit, while visiting all the research activities and facilities of the center, at a meeting with the representative of the Hami Sarmayeh Company, the executor of tilapia pilot production plan, the process of implementation of the project, issues and problems of the collaborators were reviewed. Also, a meeting was held with Mr. Sajjadi, the head of the Organization of Agriculture- Jahad- Yazd province. The meeting highlighted relevant issues in the field of fisheries research. Particular emphasis was placed on cooperation to develop different aspects of tilapia aquaculture. In addition, another meeting was held with the two main investors to engage the private sector in the development of tilapia industry in Yazd province, and the partnership strategies were discussed. It was agreed that the issue of participation and development of cooperation should be pursued and implemented with the focus on the role of the NationalResearch Centre of Saline-waterAquatics Bafgh- Yazd.
