Specialized meeting on how to transfer the achievements of macro projects to the private sector, especially to the knowledge-based companies was held at the session hall of the institute with the presence of the director, deputies, the general manager of technology affairs and a group of researchers on Tuesday, dated 27 August 2019.Dr. Bahmani welcomed Dr. Valdan and Ms. Rezai. He explained the achievements of the national technology project "Acquisition and Transfer of Technical Knowledge for Mass Production of Specific Pathogen Free Shrimp" and how it should be transferred and how it would affect the shrimp industry in the country. The director of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute said commercializing a variety of aquatic probiotics and algae products is one of the goals of the institute. Then, Dr. Hossein Zadeh, the deputy director of fisheries and aquaculture extension and transfer of research findings, commented on the contract between the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute and the private sector and the transfer of technical knowledge resulting from such contracts. He announced that due to the transfer of technical knowledge to knowledge-based companies, it is currently possible to produce 6,000 pairs of SPF shrimp at the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran – Bushehr.Dr. Hossein Zadeh also announced that we are on track to implement the macro project of Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) rainbow trout production and outsourcing the matter to the private and knowledge-based sectors is a priority for the institute.Dr. Qhaed Niya, the head of the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran and one of the executors of the above mentioned macro projects, announced the beneficiaries' satisfaction with shrimp reproduction centers and the training of 50 exploiters to implement the national macro project "Acquisition and Transfer of Technical Knowledge for Mass Production of Specific Pathogen Free Shrimp". Dr. Qhaed Niya announced that the transfer of achievements of the project to the private sector had been made through a public notice and public announcement in high-profile newspapers. Dr. Valdan advised on how to transfer the commercializable achievements of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute to the private sector. He emphasized the necessity of setting up a certified expert working group and evaluating related topics and asking the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology of the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran to hand over the achievements of joint venture projects.
