Following the entry into force of the Balance of Water Convention in 2017, in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation of the Caspian Sea Ecology Research Center with the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran in the Amirabad Port Special Economic Zone, the first phase of sampling of biological and non-biological parameters of ballast water was carried out by experts from the Caspian Sea Ecology Research Center with the aim to "Quantitative and qualitative analysis of ballast water samples" was performed.
