Dr. Mahmoud Bahmani, the director of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, during his first visit to Bushehr along with Dr. Nabiullah Khon Mirzaei, the deputy minister and the head of the Iran Fisheries Organization, announced the strengthening of the joint programs. On the first day of this joint visit, they met with the head of the Organization of Agriculture- Jahad of the province and visited the Jalali Fishing Pier and the SPF Shrimp Production Center and the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran. Dr. Dashtian Nasab, the head of the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran, presented a detailed report on the research carried out and pointed to the possibilities, potentials and policies of research in the field of shrimp and the joint action capabilities of the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran with the Department of Fisheries of the province. Dr. Khon Mirzaei mentioned that the provincial shrimp production levels, the capacities of the SPF Shrimp Production Center and the joint action potentials for synergy and alignment of executive policies
of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute and the Iran Fisheries Organization are in good situations. The head of the Iran Fisheries Organization emphasized on synergies and enhancement of bilateral cooperation between the Iran Fisheries Organization and the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran. He stated that bilateral alignment and synergy of programs in farming, processing and aquaculture extension are the goals of the organization.
