The National Farm Day ceremony was held on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, aiming to investigate "Quantitative and Qualitative Strategies to Increase Juvenile Sturgeon Production in the Country". The National Farm Day ceremony was held at the International Sturgeon Research Institute in Gilan province with the latest achievements in sturgeon farming. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Jafar Zadeh and Jabar Koochaki Nejad, two representatives of Rasht city in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Dr. Abdolahi, the deputy director of aquaculture development of the Iran Fisheries Organization, Dr. Zare, the vice - chairman of the Agricultural Research Education and Extension Organization, Dr. Motalebi, the advisor to the head of the Agricultural Research Education and Extension Organization, Dr. Valdan, the general manager of the office of
technology affairs, Mr. Nasser Karami Rad, the director general of the office of rebuilding and conservation of genetic resources of the Iran Fisheries Organization, Mr. Samad Darvishi, the director general of the Gilan Department of Fisheries, Dr. Nasrollah Zadeh, the head of the Caspian Sea Ecology Research Center, Dr. Morteza Gol Mohammadi, the head of the Citrus and Subtropical Fruits Research Center and other provincial and city managers as well as a large number of sturgeon farmers from all over the country. The National Farm Day ceremony was held at the International Sturgeon Research Institute in Gilan province. Four of the research products including the indigenous and specialized probiotics for the sturgeons, the big bester (backcross hybrid), the mass production of Nereis as well as the mass production of female beluga were unveiled at the meeting. At the end of the ceremony, three active private sector companies in the reproduction and production of sturgeons including the Ghare boroun Sari Company, the Khybar
Martyrs Sturgeon Aquaculture Company in Abkenar and the Hantoush Caviar Company were honored.
