The web-based education – extension course (webinar) on "Sustainable Management of Fishery Resources, Principles and Techniques" was held by Dr. Aminollah Taghavi Motlagh, the academic member of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, with the participation of more than 70 colleagues from the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, research institutes and research centers, colleagues from the Iran Fisheries Organization and a number of colleagues from the Organization of Agriculture- Jahad on Monday, June 24, 2019.In this training course, an overview of the issues of stock assessment, indicators and reference points, systems and components of capture fisheries, objectives of fisheries management, ecosystem approach in fisheries management, information and data required in policy making and implementation of fisheries management as well as various types of fisheries management with the emphasis on creating the right to exploit as an effective tool for fisheries management were presented to the participants.
