In order to visit the aquaculture farms affected by flooding and estimate the damage to the fish farmers in Lorestan Province, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, Mr. Habibollah Gandomkar, Mr. Ismail Kazemi, Mr. Javad Mahdavi from the Shahid Motahari Genetics and Breeding Research Center of Coldwater Fish -Yasuj, along with Mr.  Narimani, the representative of the Lorestan Department of Fisheries, Mr. Taheri, the representative of the Shahrekord Department of Fisheries, and Mr. Karimi, the representative of the Yasuj Department of Fisheries, went to the area. Twenty five farms were visited. Most fish farmers mentioned that flooding was due to the lack of proper management before the flood. In the recent flood, the walls of the most cold water fish farms and the water catchment areas have been damaged and the wall between the ponds has been broken or completely destroyed. After the flood, about 60-80 cm of sludge was found on the floor of the ponds and no fish were found inside the ponds. Approximately 70% of the cold water fish of this region have been lost. The ability to resume cold water fish farming in these provinces has faced serious constraints due to the lack of liquidity and lack of juvenile fish in the above mentioned provinces.
