The third meeting of the headquarters for scientific and specialized management of reducing impacts and tackling flood issues in the field of aquatics was held at the session hall of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute on May 12, 2019. The South of Iran Aquaculture Research Center, as the flood survey secretariat in the south of the country, presented a report through video conferencing on the status of aquaculture farms of Khuzestan province after the flood. The initial version of the action plan of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute was also presented for short and long term periods. According to the comments from the members of the headquarters, it was decided that phrases and supplementary items should be included in this program and should be discussed at the next meeting of the headquarters. Also, global experience in dealing with floods and its impact on aquaculture were reviewed. It was decided that these global experiences should be localized and added to the action plan of the institute.
