After so many years of not observing the beautiful solimani fish with the common name of leopard barbel and the scientific name of Luciobarbus subquincunciatus in its main habitat in the middle and upstream of the Karun River, it was finally caught by carefully following, ordering and encouraging the fishermen to catch this forgotten species which is unfortunately under threat of extinction. Luciobarbus subquincunciatus was observed in the fish catch composition of the Karun River. The indigenous solimani fish was captured in the area after the Gotvand Regulatory Dam opposite the city of Gotvand and at the geographical coordinates of N 32 14,506, E 048 49,070. The weight of the fish was 2670 g and its length was 660 mm.
