In order to evaluate the Artemia Stock in Lake Urmia and the qualitative changes in the physical and chemical properties of lake water, the continuous research project on the lake is in progress. In 2019-2020, the lake water level increased by 86 centimeters compared to last year, and its volume increased to 4.3 mm / m3, and salinity decreased to 136-150 g / l. With an increase in the phytoplankton population of the lake, amounting to 24 million cells per liter, a significant population of different developmental stages of Artemia urmiana was observed in the March and April during three monitoring at 4 stations. In this field study, Artemia urmiana stock is expected to be rebuilt in the coming months, if the current lake conditions continue. The latest results on April 29, 2019, indicated that there were 400 Artemia nauplius, 100 juveniles and 200 adults per cubic meter of Lake Urmia water.
