The heads and the deputy directors of the research institutes and centers affiliated to the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute set their goals and priorities separately, within four sessions, and each one committed to implement these programs. Dr. Mohammad Pourkazemi along with the deputy directors participated in these meetings and monitored the types of activities and goals that are supposed to be implemented in the future. Planning for an effective presence for the development, monitoring and feasibility of fish farming in cages on the northern and southern coasts, diversification into cultured shrimp species, production of new probiotics, emphasis on the use of unconventional waters, continued production of knowledge based products, creating a gene bank of a variety of species, continuing activities related to the production technology of tilapia in greenhouse and aquaponics, emphasis on the use of algae for the production of forage, development of fisheries and aquaculture extension activities, the production of a variety of diagnostic kits and vaccines, eugenics and selective breeding of various fish and shrimp species and continuous monitoring of aquatics stocks to manage the fishery season are of the most important 2019-2020 priorities which are followed by the affiliated research institutes and centers. In the end, all the heads and the deputy directors of the research institutes and centers affiliated to the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute were appreciated.
