The joint meeting of the head and academic members of the Persian Gulf Oceanography Center with Dr. Dashtian Nasab, the head of the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran, the deputy directors and the experts was held at the session hall of the institute in Bushehr province. Dr. Dashtian Nasab welcomed the guests and provided explanations on the research activities conducted by the experts to the invitees. In the following, the head of the Persian Gulf Oceanography Center presented the work done at the Persian Gulf Oceanography Center and emphasized the collaboration between organizations, the study of marine ecosystems and the scientific and research activities. At the meeting, Dr. Ayin Jamshid, the deputy director of research department of the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran, provided explanations on the completed research activities and projects and the ongoing research activities and projects. After discussing the views of the experts on both sides, they agreed on the use of the important capabilities of the two organizations including scientific abilities, expertise and equipment. It was also decided that the facilities for the use of floating vessels of the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran and the Persian Gulf Oceanography Center and the scientific capacities of the center (the Persian Gulf Oceanography Center) in remote sensing and modeling of ecological data should be provided.
