The total number of 10750 high-health juvenile rainbow trout (each has an identity card) with the weight range of 7 to 11 grams and the total weight of 77.8 kg as one of the knowledge based products derived from the implementation of first phase of the national macro technology project of "The mass production of Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) rainbow trout" were transferred after obtaining health approval and shipping health certificate from the Iran Veterinary Organization. The transfer of juvenile rainbow trout was carried out on the basis of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute and the Shahid Motahari Genetics and Breeding Research Center of Coldwater Fish -Yasuj with the aim of increasing the productivity and sustainable development of the rainbow trout production and reproduction industry, conservation of genetic resources and selective breeding activities of rainbow trout in the country as well as supporting this domestic knowledge base product. The juvenile rainbow trout were transferred from the Coldwater Fishes Research Center of Tonekabon to Yasuj. These high health fish were introduced to the juvenile fish holding ponds of the Shahid Motahari Genetics and Breeding Research Center of Coldwater Fish.
