The educational workshop entitled "Aquaculture system by the method of Partitioned Aquaculture System (PAS)" was held at the conference hall with the presence of the academic members, researchers and experts of the National Inland Water Aquaculture Institute, the Gilan Department of Fisheries, the production and reproduction centers of aquatic organisms of the Gilan Department of Fisheries and the private fish farming industry. In this workshop, Mr. Sepehr Sherafatmand, the senior electronics and senior expert in fisheries sciences and the first inventor of the PAS system in the country, described the scientific and practical experiences in his private farm in Shooshtar, Khuzestan province, and noted that they have been able to increase the production of warmwater fish with carp capabilities up to 20 tons per hectare in earthen ponds. In the following of the workshop, each participant asked questions in particular on the technical and economical aspects of this method and provided extensive analytical topics for optimization and development of the mentioned method. Finally, at the suggestion of the head of the institute, it was decided to use this method as a model on a farm in Gilan province in a pilot project in the framework of a joint project among the private sector, the Gilan Department of Fisheries and the National Inland Water Aquaculture Institute.
