The 4th National Shrimp Conference of Iran began on Wednesday, February 20, in the presence of fisheries and aquaculture officials. It is noteworthy that 160 papers were sent to the Secretariat of the National Shrimp Conference of Iran in 12 categories. Among the papers, 105 articles were selected as posters and 23 articles were chosen as lectures. Dr. Aqheel Dashtian Nasab, the head of the Shrimp Research Institute of Iran, stated at the opening ceremony of the conference that the main objectives of the conference are to discuss and decide on shrimp farming. It should be noted that specialized seminars on the seven important issues of shrimp, the workshop on designing and management of nursery ponds suitable for the shrimp industry in Iran and the workshop on the sampling principles of ecological and health parameters from shrimp farming ponds were held. It is worth mentioning that the entrepreneurship event with the title of Ideas and Startups of Fisheries was also held in Bushehr province. The three top projects were selected among 21 ideas and startup ideas. The three top projects will be presented to the Entrepreneurship Festival of the country. During the conference, the shrimp harvesting festival was held in partnership with the shrimp farming unions and the activists of the shrimp industry were also appreciated.
