The training course on cage fish farming and management of fish farming in floating polyethylene cages in the southern part of the Caspian Sea was held at the Mazandaran Department of Fisheries. In this training course, 35 specialized staff and managers of the Mazandaran Department of Fisheries were present. The instructors of this course were Dr. Farabi, the head of the department of aquaculture of the Caspian Sea Ecology Research Center, and Mr. Ezadi, the representative of the executor of cage fish farming program. The training course focused on the necessity of marine aquaculture, selection of species, site and cage suitable for the southern part of the Caspian Sea by providing proper management methods for fish farming in the floating cage from the stage of juvenile fish selection, recognition of fish health, transfer, storage in cages, nutrition management and finally the fishing method and supply to the market, along with the establishment and maintenance of cages and the methods of periodic evaluations.
